A glimmer of hope for job seekers

The unemployment rate in Mass just dipped to 8.8% in November. We were at 8.9% in October. This is the second consecutive month that we have seen a drop. December is typically a very slow hiring month... one of the slowest in fact. We hope to see hiring activity pick up in January of 2010.

The web of employee benefits

We have developed a new alliance with the MA office of Northern Benefits (www.mabenefits.com). They work with small to mid-sized firms in both MA and RI.

Facebook at Work

A new study estimates that 2/3 of all Facebook users log on at work. Most FB users are on for 15 minutes during work hours. Some thought are spending 2 hours per workday! YIKES!
